AMC THEATRES

Working with DECA Design to create a range of design work for an AMC Theatres cinema in Saudi Arabia. The project included both digital and print materials, crafted for installation in multiple areas throughout the cinema.

OBJECTIVES

I was given a brief to take the original AMC logo, repeat the logo and turn it into a pattern.

The idea was to take the logo through a digital process of legible > disappearing > changing > morphing into something else.

The process produced some abstract, interesting results that can be used on various screens, wall paper, carpets and other materials through out the cinema.

Sticking with the concept of legible, disappearing, changing and morphing into something else, I experimented with some movement. I found that animating the abstract patterns pushes the concept even further and produces some interesting results.

AMC PRINT

AMC needed a manual for the cinema, where architecture drawings and diagrams could be dropped in. I was given a brief to create a template manual that would be easy for anyone in the team to drop the diagrams in. The manual is simple, minimalist and easy to navigate.
